Partnering with the Media

The next DAVA presentation will be Partnering with the Media, Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at Cantigny Visitors Center. Networking from 9:30 - 10:00 am, Program from 10:00 - noon. Panelists from local Media outlets will share their expertise and answer your questions about how you can partner with the media to share information about your organization with the community. Volunteer Recognition

February 25th, 2009

Recognizing Volunteers was the topic of the DAVA Meeting, February 25, 2009 in the beautiful Atrium at Danada House. Chris Linnell and Diane Ernst presented this training module from Betty Stallings’ Training Busy Staff to Succeed with Volunteers to 45 DAVA members. The workshop included the key concepts of recognition as well as small group work in which the members shared tips and brainstormed new recognition ideas. The February Power Booster, resource handout, focuses on Recognizing Volunteers in Tough Economic Times and will be posted soon.  Watch for photos of the training coming soon.

DAVA December Meeting

January 3rd, 2009

Our last training of the year was held at COD and continued the previous training given by Sally Kenaston and Chris Linnell. DAVA members celebrated the year end with loads of good will and holiday treats.

Interviewing Volunteers

Our November DAVA training was the Betty Stallings’ module - Interviewing Volunteers. Sally Kenaston and Diane Ernst presented the training at Cantigny. Our thanks to Jennifer Benton for hosting the training in the beautiful Medrill Room at Cantigny.
