In-Home Senior Respite Program
Jody Kanikula earned a Master’s degree in Social Work from Jane Addams College of Social Work in 1998 and is a licensed clinical social worker. She is the Coordinator for In-Home Senior Respite at Metropolitan Family Services, DuPage. Ms. Kanikula has worked with all ages, but her expertise and her passion are for the issues facing older adults, especially those stricken with a dementia disease. Ms. Kanikula has over 15 years experience developing and facilitating training programs for healthcare professionals, community groups and university students and faculty. She has given over 100 presentations about aging, care giving and dementia at healthcare facilities, universities, and community and professional groups.
